After finishing my BSc degree in Biotechnology at the University of Barcelona, I received my Master degree in Biomedical Research from the University Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). While there, I worked on establishing the role of a transcription factor in brain development. This experience made me interested in cellular plasticity and embryonic development.
Then I completed my PhD at the University of Barcelona under the supervision of Ofelia M. Martínez Estrada, where I continued studying the role of a WT1, a complex transcription factor, in heart and gonad development. Now I have joined Prof. Spagnoli’s lab as a postdoc to study how the pancreatic microenvironment shapes cellular communication during pancreas development.
